The Story of Our Rialto

Changeable Supportive Title

The Story of Our Rialto by Artist Amelia Furman

In spring 2021, Loveland artist Amelia Furman, was commissioned to create The Story of Our Rialto, to engage and encourage use of the pass-through hallway between the Rialto Theater 4th Street entrance and Backstage Rialto Alley. This multi-media installation features 14 collages, which pay homage to the diverse history of this beloved downtown Loveland theater and celebrates its breadth of artistic expressions.

Furman’s imaginative use of media, color and line entertain (and inform) passersby as they navigate their way between the Foundry and 4th Street.  In 2022, Amelia continued her art deco-inspired design into the Rialto Theater’s concession stand, unifying the pass-through to the Rialto Theater lobby.

Amelia Furman was awarded this commission following a national Request for Qualifications from a highly competitive field of artists. The final budget for this project was $18,900.
