With opening performance by Wendy Woo
Wednesday, April 19
Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Lisa Loeb started her career with the platinum-selling number one hit song “Stay (I Missed You)” from the film Reality Bites. To this day, she is still the only artist to have a number one single while not signed to a recording contract, a remarkable and unparalleled feat for an unsigned artist. Her five studio CDs include her major label debut, the gold-selling Tails and its follow-up, the Grammy-nominated, gold-selling Firecracker. In addition to her success as a singer-songwriter, Loeb is a published author, has appeared in numerous movies and television shows, and has produced several children’s music albums.
Opening for Loeb is Loveland’s own Wendy Woo. Having penned and recorded over 200 original songs, Woo has -gained a reputation as one of the most versatile performers on the circuit. She won the Colorado Lilith Fair Talent Search in 1999, and she’s shared the stage with The Fray, Sarah McLachlan, James Taylor, the Indigo Girls, Sheryl Crow, and the Counting Crows. Woo was named “Singer/Songwriter of the year” five separate times by Westword Magazine, and in 2015, released her new album Tipping Point, which was produced by Grammy Award winner Jim Gaines.
